Lex Orgera on Works & Days
November 5, 2025 - A huge thank you to Lex Orgera for writing about Works & Days and the absurdity of modern work on her Substack “Crow and the Poet.” It is a really thoughtful engagement with the work and its lineages as well as a reflection on our present moment where income inequality is increasing in the United States and Ireland made their Basic Income for Artists pilot program permanent. You can read it here: “I don’t want to monetize my life.”
I have long been a fan of Lex’s writing, so it is an honor to be read so closely by her. She also has a new book out, Agatha: poems for the bodies in revolt, from Jackleg Press that I am excited to check out.
